John Frederick SwanbergI haven't been able to uncover much about our great, great grandfather and mother. Our grandfather's death certificate states that his fathers name was John Fred Swanberg. In obtaining a copy of our Grandfathers birth registration, it stated his father as Jan Eric, both names could have been anglicized by relatives when submitting information to the doctor when drawing up a death certificate. Our grandfathers mothers name was listed as Johanna Andersdotler from Odisva, Sweden. |
| The Swanberg/Anderson family Genealogy: The map above represents both Sweden and Norway as our fathers parents immigrated from Sweden where as our mothers father, Albert Anderson, was born in Silbodal, Varmland Sweden , but her mother Anna Vedelia Anderson, was born in Oslo, Norway. Anna's maiden name was Anderson and she immigrated with her parents to the this country in 1864. Albert immigrated here in 1868 from Sweden with his parents.
